Here are things we ended the 2008-2009 school year with: (to show your incoming student what to expect):
- Have your child read 20-30 minutes every night. If possible you should have them re-tell the story to you and then ask them questions about what they read. For further comprehension, have them write out a short summary of the story. Reading is the foundation of learning and it is very important that it is practiced throughout the week at home.
- Two digit addition and subtraction, counting money, graphing, and telling time, ordinal numbers, missing addends, story problems, problem solving etc.
